The year 2026 brings a golden opportunity for young aspirants preparing
for government jobs in Madhya Pradesh. The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board
(MPESB) has organized the "Van Rakshak, Kshetra Rakshak, Jail Prahari, and
Assistant Jail Superintendent Combined Recruitment Test–2026" to fill
various positions in the Forest and Jail departments. Through this recruitment
drive, thousands of eligible candidates will get the chance to join government
service.

VANRAKSHAK AND JAIL PRAHARI ADMIT CARD 2026
This combined recruitment examination aims to fill positions for Forest
Guard (Van Rakshak), Field Guard (Kshetra Rakshak), Jail Warder (Jail Prahari),
and Assistant Jail Superintendent. The recruitment process is being conducted
by the MPESB, and online applications were invited for the same. A total of
1,679 vacancies were announced.
Significance of the Posts
Forest Guard (Van Rakshak)
The primary duties of a Forest Guard include protecting forests,
monitoring wildlife, and preventing illegal logging and poaching.
1- Field Guard (Kshetra Rakshak)
A Field Guard is responsible for patrolling forest areas and overseeing
activities related to environmental conservation.
2-Jail Warder (Jail Prahari)
A Jail Warder is responsible for maintaining prison security and
supervising inmates.
3- Assistant Jail Superintendent
This position entails administrative responsibilities and plays a
crucial role in prison management. ## Selection Process
The recruitment process comprises a written examination, a Physical
Efficiency Test (PET), and a Physical Standard Test (PST). Final selection is
based on the candidate's performance and eligibility.
Exam and Admit Card important Updates
MPESB issued admit cards for the recruitment examination. The exam was
conducted starting in June 2026. Due to technical reasons, exams for certain
shifts were postponed, and new dates were announced for the re-examination of
affected candidates.
